Live-checked competitor news: CPF cohort 7 Sep 2026 adds Python & AI for Rates, Bonds, and Credit (200+ page book); bundle €2,999; fact sheet 4 Aug 2026. Light contrast to after-work short lessons; CTA only Intro to Python.
The Python Quants has put a clear calendar date on the next Certificate in Python for Finance (CPF) guided cohort: 7 September 2026. The same landing page now headlines a new core class — Python & AI for Rates, Bonds, and Credit — and a matching 200+ page book. This note is competitor news for people who track quant-education calendars, not a remake of the long SPACE / WQU / CQF / EPAT path essay, and not a sales page for Agentic AI bootcamps.
Checked live on 1 September 2026 against python-for-finance.com and the CPF fact sheet PDF dated 4 August 2026 (cpf_facts_dark.pdf).
Until this launch cycle, CPF’s public story leaned on equities, volatility, FX, algorithmic trading, asset management, and computational finance. The September 2026 materials explicitly bring fixed income into the core: rates, bonds, credit, fixed-income derivatives, portfolio management, risk, machine learning, and GenAI workflows aimed at that stack.
The site’s own framing is institutional, not retail-trading hype. Yield curves, swaps, duration, convexity, DV01, CS01, and credit risk are described as everyday language for banks, asset managers, insurers, hedge funds, and corporate treasuries. If your day job already touches those terms, the news is that Hilpisch’s Python-first certificate is treating them as a core module with a dedicated book — not a side elective buried in a brochure.
The CPF Bundle on the enrollment block is listed at €2,999 (VAT depends on the buyer’s status). Indefinite Quant Platform access to the purchased CPF resources is part of that checkout story. A limited-time launch bonus currently bundles companion programs (The Data Scientist, The AI Engineer, The Crypto Engineer) with CPF enrollment; treat that as a live offer on the page, not a permanent feature of the certificate.
Format, from the same sources: premium video, integrated books, Jupyter notebooks, quizzes, Discord support from The Python Quants team and community, and a graded final research notebook reviewed by Dr. Yves J. Hilpisch for the certificate. The public marketing stack still cites hundreds of video hours, thousands of pages, and hundreds of notebooks — useful as scale markers, secondary to the Rates / Bonds / Credit curriculum change.
The 4 August 2026 fact sheet (The Python Quants GmbH) is the company-side brief: why institutions need people who can implement finance in Python with engineering discipline, what delegates should be able to do after CPF, and how mastery is assessed (books, video, notebooks, coaching guides, capstone, Discord). The fact sheet date and the September cohort date are different artefacts — one is the PDF stamp, the other is the next guided start.
Delegates can join outside the cohort rhythm and work through coaching guides; the 7 September 2026 date is still the headline next cohort start on the site.
For the same autumn–winter window, the CQF overview currently lists its next program start as 27 January 2027, and QuantInsti’s EPAT page lists the next batch start as 10 October 2026.
Those are calendar facts only. They are not a ranking, not a fee comparison, and not a path-substitution guide.
CPF is a practice-first certificate aimed at people who want a long, integrated Python + finance + AI journey with a graded capstone. SoloQuant Academy is a different product shape: short, hands-on evenings for employed people who want to stay competitive in the seat they already have. SoloQuant is not a CEF, not a QF/QR track, and does not sell a subsidy story. Macro Rotation remains unpublished — there is nothing there to enroll in.
If you are weighing “large credential vs evening blocks,” the light contrast is format and commitment, not a price war. For Hong Kong classroom vs short lessons, see Evening Python in Hong Kong: classroom vs short lessons. For how after-work short lessons sit beside longer named programmes without collapsing them into one ladder, see HK SPACE, WQU, CQF, EPAT vs after-work short lessons. For pacing in modest blocks, see Learn Python after work: 19 short lessons.
If your gap is still “I cannot yet write a clean .py file after dinner,” a certificate cohort is the wrong first purchase. The enrollable SoloQuant path for that gap is only Introduction to Python Programming — check the course page for the current window; this article will not freeze an enrollment date.
